Staying the night at a Wikkelhouse
Holiday in the midst of Dutch nature!
The Wikkelhouse is a holiday home made out of recycled cardboard. This is the ultimate solution if you want to enjoy a sustainable holiday. Stay at a tiny house in National Park De Biesbosch or in the forest surrounding Stayokay Apeldoorn. Which one do you prefer?
What will you find in a Wikkelhouse?
- a twin bed and bunk bed (both made)
- one towel per person
- you can cook on the 2 pit cooking top, and of course pans are included
- dishes and cutlery for 4 people
- a fridge
- a sink with running water
- a Nespresso coffee machine
- shower and toilet
During a Wikkelhouse break you won't have WiFi or TV. Instead, you'll go right back to nature.
The Wikkelhouse in Apeldoorn is located in the middle of the forest, just like the hostel. Wake up with a cup of coffee and immediately experience the Veluwe. This is the perfect place for hiking, cycling, or other sports activities. Or what about going wild for a day at the Apenheul? It's all right around the corner of your accommodation!
The Stayokay Dordrecht's Wikkelhouse can be found on the edge of National Park De Biesbosch, located beautifully in the Hel and Zuilespolder. The hostel has a camping, where you will also find the Wikkelhouse. Waking up peacefully, having breakfast on the porch, followed by a day of canoeing in the Biesbosch waters. Already imagining what this fabulous experience would be like?
