Traditional gourmet grub

If you’re looking for a place to eat that’s suitable for children, stop looking: ‘t Elf Uur is the place to be. For more than 40 years, this place has been a household name in and around Gorssel. It’s very handy too, because the doors open every day at 11 a.m.

“Which one of the hundred different pancakes will it be?”

It may sound cliché but the menu states that there’s something for everyone. It’s not wrong. There’s everything from pancakes (100 kinds!), burgers and pork satay to Dover sole. Lunchtime is a good moment to drop in because there are plenty of tasty things to choose from. ‘t Elf Uur is a good starting place for taking the ferry to Wilp, which is around 300 metres from the restaurant. At Wilp you can blow away the cobwebs on the floodplains of the IJssel.

Nice to know!

If you take the ferry to Wilp and then cycle towards Zutphen, you’ll come across the ruins of De Nijenbeek. Only this former castle’s square tower remains.
