Sheep, cheese & ice cream

De Zeekraal in Oosterend is an organic sheep farm where all year round the flock grazes outdoors in herb-rich pastures. Their milk is used to make delicious cheeses and ice cream and is added to their own brand of hand cream.

“Gerben is happy to tell you all about his life as a sheep farmer and everything it involves.”

Whether you’re 8 or 88, a visit to De Zeekraal is fun for everyone. You can look around at the mouth-watering produce in the shop - the most popular item is the salty sheep’s cheese with glasswort - eat an ice cream in the garden or join Gerben as he milks his sheep at around 4pm. He is happy to tell you all about his life as a sheep farmer and everything it involves. If you don’t have time for a visit, you can purchase their products at Lokaal

Nice to know!

De Zeekraal works a lot with other farms. For instance, neighbouring Groenhof supplies cranberries and strawberries (you can pick also your own) and they have developed a special cheese, Zilte Duinen with Gerard and Marion Cupido’s dairy cow milk.
