In the middle of the city, hidden in Lombok, stands a special mill that is still in operation. Every Saturday, the mill runs at full speed and you can see how tree trunks are sawn into planks. Children can take a close look at everything and the millers are happy to tell them how the process works.
But there is more! Cute animals such as goats, chickens and pigs live in the mill yard. There is plenty of space for them to play. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the cosy mill café.
The sails turn, the saw rattles and the animals moo: there is always something going on at Molen de Ster!
In addition to the weekly operating hours, Molen de Ster regularly organises (child-friendly) activities such as music afternoons, workshops and guided tours. During special events, such as National Mill Day, children can even help with small chores around the mill. A great way to learn about crafts and nature in a playful way!
Are you looking for an outing where learning and playing go hand in hand? Molen de Ster is the place to be for curious children (and parents)!
