Madurodam Miniature City

Madurodam is one of those tourist attractions you always meant to visit but never got around to it. If you’re in The Hague, you have to; especially with the kids, because there’s so much to see and do in this miniature city.

“In Madurodam, you will interactively discover everything a small country like the Netherlands excels at.”

In Madurodam, you will interactively discover the Netherlands on a small scale and what our country excels at. You will find out all about flying at Schiphol, help load and unload freight in the Port of Rotterdam and mix the sickest beats on the turntable, just like Dutch DJ, Armin van Buren. Visit the latest indoor attraction: New Amsterdam. You step on board De Vergulde Bever and go back in time to 17th century New Amsterdam, the city now known as New York.

Nice to know

Madurodam was built in memory of George Maduro, a Jewish war hero. As a token of hope and to see what was left standing after the war: not just houses and buildings, but self-confidence. Maduro died in Dachau in 1945.
