A cultural day out par excellence is of course the Kröller-Müller Museum. This museum is famous for its sculpture garden; one of the largest in Europe, with no fewer than 160 works to enjoy. You’ll find more inside, including lots of paintings by Vincent van Gogh.
A visit to the Kröller-Müller Museum starts in the Hoge Veluwe National Park, the nature reserve where the museum has stood since its founding in 1938. The sculptures in the 25-hectare ‘outdoor gallery’ attract lots of art lovers. Feel free to lie on the grass, have a picnic or run around. During the holiday season, you are even allowed to climb Kijk uit Attention by Krijn Giezen. Be sure to have a look inside because the museum houses the largest Van Gogh collection in the world.
Nice to know!
At the entrances of the Hoge Veluwe National Park, the visitor centre and the museum, you can borrow a White Bike on which to explore the different parts of the nature reserve.
