Rapid river trips

We are already familiar with buses, boats and trains, but have you ever taken a trip on a Waterbus?

Hop on board at the Merwekade in Dordrecht, close to the city center (about a 20-minute bike ride from the hostel), and cruise towards Rotterdam.

The Waterbus was introduced as a fast boat connection between the Maas cities to avoid traffic jams.

It takes less than an hour to travel from Dordrecht to Rotterdam. But it’s not just for commuters: you can also take the Waterbus for a fun day trip to Rotterdam.

Looking to get into nature? Then simply take another route towards De Hollandse Biesbosch. In this vast nature and recreational area, you can fully unwind. Go for a walk, have a picnic, or enjoy some time around the large swimming lake.

Hey, did you know?

Dordrecht lies at one of Europe’s busiest waterway junctions, where the Beneden-Merwede, de Noord and the Old Meuse River meet.
