Bierbrouwerij De Vlijt is one of the companies that was set up on the Zwitsal site. “Each week, it brews around 3,000 litres of Veluwse Schavuyt, a traditional craft beer, in the boiler house of the former Zwitsal factory. At weekends, there are guided tours through the factory and you can try the beer at an old Argentinian chemist’s counter in the tasting room. Besides a brewery, there is also a bric-a-brac market, a large arena with trampolines and an indoor skate park.

Zwitsal was founded by Apeldoorn chemist, Cor Jansen. The logo he designed is based on a photo of his daughter Mieke when she was nine months old.
