At coffee o’clock, hurry to Coffeelicious! This is the place where the coffee connoisseurs of Dordrecht enjoy their favourite drink and a slice of cake. It’s hardly surprising, because this is where they bake the tastiest cakes in town; from carrot cake and red velvet cake to chocolate fudge cake.
Before setting foot in Coffeelicious, wander through the lovely Wiijnstraat with its breathtaking monumental buildings such as St Boniface’s Church, the Romanesque facade of the Huis de Onbeschaamde (Shameless House) and its neighbouring Dit is in Beverenburgh building, built for Mayor Van Beveren and his family. Coffelicious is also housed in a striking building. A lot of locals see it as a second living room where they can treat themselves to a slice of cake or take one back home.
Nice to know!
Coffeelicious is also the place to be for high teas which they serve under the name Hightealicious in the 18th century Patrician manor house at Wolwevershaven 9, overlooking the river. Besides enjoying a high tea in chic surroundings, you can also feast your eyes on the Gooshouwer family’s 18th century art collection.
