If you utter Bries in Noordwijk, everyone cries “Let’s go!” because this beach pavilion is one of the more chic places to round the day off with an evening meal. Not with a beach burger, but with oysters or half a lobster, because gastronomically speaking this place is hot.
If you walk along the boulevard to Bries, then you’ll immediately notice that Noordwijk was once an elite resort. Magnificent houses rather than ugly flats separate the village from the coastline. Although Bries is on the chic side, it’s certainly accessible. You can order delicious finger food or enjoy a full dining experience. The Fish Market on Wednesdays is fantastic. There’s a market stall from which you can choose from different kinds of fish and shellfish.
Nice to know!
Besides the Fish Market, there’s a Sunday evening Steak Market. It’s the same concept but with meat instead. From Dutch beef to Texel lamb or a lovely piece of tenderloin.
