Tremendous tea and gelato
You cannot leave Bergen op Zoom without trying an ice cream at Crusio’s. This ice cream parlour on Wouwestraat was founded in 1915 and uses a secret family recipe to produce over 200 flavours with only the best ingredients, such as dark chocolate from Honduras.
Crusio’s story begins in 1915 when Willem Crusio started selling vanilla ice cream from ice cream carts. His children caught the bug and opened an ice cream parlour on Wouwestraat. More than a century later, ice cream is still churned at the same spot using the secret family recipe, with the fourth generation currently at the helm. Besides classics such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, the showcase contains many amazing flavours including Di Saronno Amaretto, crème brûlée and Oreo.
Nice to know
As well as ice cream, Koen Crusio and Kiona Malinka have put tea on the menu because Kiona is a well-known tea sommelier who flies all over the work in search of the best leaves. Crusio tea is currently being sold in seven countries.
