Huge discovery lab

How do rainbows form? Why does your pullover crackle when you take it off? You will find the answers to these questions and more at NEMO Science Museum.

Not by listening to boring teachers though, so don't worry. You learn through hands-on experiments, because NEMO is a great museum where you learn by watching and doing.

“After visiting NEMO, you’ll know why bridges are so strong, how a rainbow forms, how lightning works... and much more.”

Did you think technology and science were boring? Definitely not! NEMO puts everyday things to use to prove how cool science is. From generating power to making water drinkable. You can discover how the fun way. In the chemistry lab you can see what it’s like to be a real scientist. Wearing a white coat and safety glasses, you can experiment with vinegar, baking powder and other everyday items. In other words, at NEMO you will learn about how the world around you works.

Hey, did you know?

The roof of NEMO hosts the highest town square in the Netherlands. There’s a restaurant and the free Energetica exhibition where you can find out things such as how green energy is generated.
