Koej has a modern ring to it, which might be due to the fact that its interior can be set up anywhere. The concept is also very contemporary, focusing as it does on a single product. In this case, an ode to the cow.
If you’re thinking of huge slabs of meat, this isn’t for you. Koej is anything but a standard steak restaurant. Quite the opposite is true; they serve refined, surprising dishes and charcuterie that is sliced up in the middle of restaurant. The decor is industrial and robust with cow hides, butcher’s knives, showcases and stoves. The building, an old warehouse, adds to the factory-like atmosphere. On the menu we find prime cuts such as entrecote and rump steak.
Nice to know!
Koej is a pop-up restaurant, which means its existence is only temporary. Perhaps it will last six months, maybe a year or longer. Its predecessor was Visj, which was also a big hit.
