Amsterdam city centre is famous for its numerous bars, canals, shops and museums. What could be more fun than having your home base in the heart of the city that never sleeps? And at Stayokay Amsterdam Stadsdoelen, you can meet travellers from all over the world. The moment you step outside, you’re bang in the middle of vibrant Amsterdam. Beside bars, restaurants and shops, you will also find theatres, cinemas and museums nearby.The flea market at Waterlooplein is within walking distance. And if you would like to see the city from the canal, simply hop on the water bus at one of the stops nearby. Or take the museum boat, whose route leads past the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and many more.

Travelling plan

Public transport: From Amsterdam Central Station take tram 4, 9, 16, 24 or 25. Get off at Muntplein. At Hotel de l’Europe enter the Nieuwe Doelenstraat, cross the bridge to your right and take an immediate left. The hostel is on your right after 100 m. You also can take the metro from Central Station. Get off at Nieuwmarkt and take the Nieuwe Hoogstraat exit. Head left and at the first side street take another left. Go 200 m and the hostel is on your left. Both routes take about the same time. To plan the train trip we recommend to use www.ns.nl.
