Beautiful woodlands, pollard willows and the reedy banks of the IJssel; old castles and the ‘Gorsselse Hei’ nature area. Come to Stayokay Gorssel and find out about this unique part of the Netherlands!

Gorssel is located in the Achterhoek region, between the towns of Zutphen and Deventer. Stayokay Gorssel is housed in the magnificent Norwegian-style hunting lodge 'De Kleine Haar'. The hostel has an attractive restaurant, a large garden with a terrace and a cosy sitting area near an open fireplace. Your stay here will be nothing short of princely, because this stylish building used to be property of the Royal Family. The rooms are located in the lodge’s annex. Do you prefer staying in your own cabin with just you and your family? This is also possible, in one of the log cabins on the hostel premises.

Travelling plan

Public transport: Take the train to Deventer or Zutphen station. In Zutphen take bus 81. Transfer in Epse to bus 56 in the direction of Lochem Borculo. Get off at the De Drie Kieviten stop. The hostel is a 2-km walk away. From Deventer take bus 56. Get off at the De Drie Kieviten stop.
You can take a regional taxi from both stations. Order the taxi at least one hour advance on 0900 8015. To plan the train trip we recommend to use www.ns.nl.

Private transport: From Deventer take the N48 in the direction of Zutphen. In Epse, take a left at the traffic lights. At the very next street, take a left. Go 5 km and you will see the hostel.
From Zutphen, take the N48 in the direction of Deventer. In Eefde take a right, towards Bathmen. Follow the signs to the hostel.
